The video game series "Medal of Honor" is creating good controversy due to its most recent installation. All titles in the series were set in World War II until now. This video game takes place in the current war if Afghanistan. It's not the first game to do so, but it is a "MOH" first.

As outlined by federal Arizona immigration lawsuit, state law is illegal

X2:The Threat
The Arizona immigration law was challenged Tuesday in a lawsuit that was filed by the U.S. Justice Department. The federal government wants to block the law from taking effect later this month. The Arizona immigration lawsuit claims that Arizona's new law is unconstitutional because it overrides federal immigration law.

Proposed by FCC is net neutrality 3rd Way

X:Beyond the Frontier
Net neutrality is affordable internet access to all Americans. Some broadband providers have proposed to start charging more to their customers for higher levels of service, much like cell phone companies. The Federal Communications Commission began an uproar in the net neutrality debate on Thursday when it announced to the world that it will seek public remark on imposing new regulations on Internet service providers to keep them from offering tiered service. In the mean time, Capitol Hill is trying to define the FCC’s authority more clearly.

new web host

X3:Reunion
this site has now moved to a new web host. Hopefully this should mean faster page loading for you. The initial indications are good.

still a couple of bugs to work out, but other than that I hope this will give Xai Corporation a new lease of life.

Site Upgrades

I've just completed some upgrades to the backend of the site. Everything seems to have worked as planned, so you shouldn't actually notice much difference. I took the opportunity to tweek some of the templates, downloads and resource lists so you might notice some minor differences there.

I've got plenty more of these upgrades to come. Hopefully there shouldn't be much interuption to services. When it's all done things should be a bit more streamlined.

better searching

I've updated the search box at the top of this screen to use google instead of the rather limited built in search. It's far quicker and provides better results.

Hope you like the change.

fixing scripts and XaiCorp graphics

Fixing Scripts

I've just opened a new project for tracking bugs and ideas for upgrading the stock scripts that come with X3. I've already released a couple of fixes for the stock scripts, the Jumpsequence fix, !move.movetosector jump enablingfix, and the updates to the buy/sell ware commands for example. Now I want to get you guys involved.

The idea isn't to completly rewrite the scripts, just to fix certain problems or dangerous behaviours and to add new functionality in a simple maner. I doubt very much that stopping the autopilot crashing into things is within the scope of this project, so please don't even suggest it. If you do see something that could have been handled better, please feel free to mention it, and if you've got a quick fix for something, I'd love to see it too.

stupid x3 scripting language :-(

X3:Reunion
this is so arbitrary...

doesn't work:
$a = [THIS] -> is script "plugin.autotrade.galaxy" on stack of task= 0
$b = [THIS] -> is script "plugin.autotrade.local" on stack of task= 0
$c = [THIS] -> is script "plugin.autotrade.sector" on stack of task= 0

skip if not $debug
  write to player logbook: printf: fmt= "(%s) resetSignals: galaxy(%s) local(%s) sector(%s)" , [THIS] , $a , $b , $c , null

skip if not ( $a | $b | $c )
  continue
