The demo contains a benchmarking option to show the sort of framerates you might expect from the game.

The long awaited sequal to X3:Reunion is released worldwide today. It is available for download through Steam and is in most games stores in Europe.

In addition the first patch was released yesterday (before the official release!) which fixes a few minor problems and adds a new mission! New content already!

New Bonus Pack released

Egosoft have release version 3.1.06 of the Bonus Pack for X3. This release includes various fixes and updates for the existing scripts in the BP and 4 new scripts.

  1. Cartel Shield Hacker, allows you to steal cargo of other ships using a transporter device
  2. Group Management System, another Xai Corporation script that allows beter control of groups of ships.
  3. Group Hotkeys, addon for the GMS that allows you to control groups via hotkeys
  4. Scrap Ship at Player HQ, reduce a ship to ores, computer components and other resources used to create the ship, which can then be reused or sold.

X³ 2.0: Bala Gi Research Missions Released!

The much anticipated 2.0 patch, codenamed Bala Gi Research Missions, for X3 has arrived.

The patch is available for download from Egosoft's Website

It includes, new ships, new sectors, new weapons, new missions, and The Player HQ super station, which itself includes a few nifty new features.

The latest news from Egosoft is that the 2.0 patch for X3, codenamed Bala Gi Research Missions, is nearing completion. The English version has been shipped to the Presses for a DVD rerelease. The download is now only awaiting the translation into other languages.

X3 2.0:Bala Gi Research Missions in developement

Egosoft have announced that development of another patch for X3:reunion is in developement. But this is no ordinary patch.

The new patch, titled X³: 2.0 Bala Gi Research Missions, will contain more than just game fixes. This patch will include new content, new missions, new ships, and a player HQ.

The long awaited Bonus Script Pack for X3 has been released. It's now available for download from Egosoft

The Pack provides upgrades (scripts) developed by the forum community and given the seal of approval (signed) by Egosoft. These upgrades have been selected because they fit well with the game and do not destroy the game balance. The Script Editor does not have to be activated for these upgrades to work.
